XVs State Champs/State Gala – Wrap
Congratulations to all our U12s to U18s players who donned our Red and Black over the long weekend to play NSW Juniors XVs State Champs, along with our U10s & U11s who played their State Gala in the July school holidays. Thank you again to our coaches, managers, volunteers, and supporters for all you have done for the XVs experience.
- U12s – Our U12s played in a 5-Way Gala at Cliff Oval, Wahroonga on the Saturday due to the postponement of their State Champs. It was a gallant effort by all our players who developed their skills and did their best against bigger squads.
- U13s – Our U13s played in very tough weather conditions with freezing temperatures and falling snow in Orange. The players showed great resilience and kept at it finishing in 11th place.
- U14s – Our U14s had a huge weekend in Dubbo winning the State Champs! The boys played champagne rugby putting in when the Forwards had to do the hard work upfront and spreading it fast and wide when the opportunities arose for the Backs to shine.
- U15s – In Maitland, our U15s were runners-up in the State Champs. The team played well above their size all weekend giving all the players confidence they can match it with players of any shape and size (what rugby is all about).
- U16s – Our U16s played in Granville, Sydney and won the Bowl Grand Final. A positive outcome with the team coming together quickly.
- U18s – There were boys from all over the state representing Norths Juniors in a very tough competition. Norths Seniors is looking forward to seeing these players play Norths Colts next year. Refer below for the upcoming Colts information evening.
- U10s – For the U10 Red and Black teams it was their first experience playing representative rugby. There were some very tough games however the players never stopped trying and were committed throughout the weekend.
- U11s – Our two teams were in Mudgee excited for their first representative tour. All players did their best with plenty of passion and sportsmanship and pushed their opposition as hard as possible to the final whistle in every match. The highlight was receiving the G.R. Paton ‘Spirit of Rugby’ Shield from all the other 15 Districts for showing the best sportsmanship on and off the field.
